05 Historic Monument (Fountain)
Acendu Fountain (Aqua de Cento)
- Venetian fountain from the 15th–16th century (during the Venetian rule of Cyprus)
- Named after the Venetian commander Cento (“Aqua de Cento”, popularly known as Acendu)
- Historically served as a fresh spring water source for Lefke
- Architectural relic with inscriptions and the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Cyprus
06 Mosque
Piri Mehmet Pasha Mosque
- Historic Ottoman mosque from the 16th century (built by Piri Mehmet Pasha)
- Classic octagonal structure with arch arcades (typical Ottoman architecture)
- One of Lefke’s most important buildings from the Ottoman era
- Next to it: Magnificent tomb of Piri Mehmet Pasha with elaborate stonework
07 Historic Structures (Aqueducts)
Water Arches (Su Kemerleri)
- Relics of aqueducts from the Venetian and Ottoman periods, used for irrigation
- Partially preserved stone arches along old water channels in the region
- Once hundreds of meters long, supplying water to orange groves and mills
- Ruins still visible today; e.g., Sir Samuel Baker mentioned the fine stonework in 1879
08 Historic Monument
Coronation Monument
- Built on May 12, 1937 as a water reservoir to commemorate the coronation of King George VI
- Inscription and royal coat of arms on the facade, also serves as a landmark of Lefke
- Combines British and local architecture (water tank in the town center)
- Popular photo spot at Lefke’s central square

Tomb of Piri Mehmet Pasha
- Magnificent tomb of the Ottoman admiral Piri Mehmet Pasha
- Famous example of Ottoman stone masonry (detailed sarcophagus work)
- Located right next to the Piri Pasha Mosque
- Point of interest for visitors to the town (cultural monument)
10 Natural Landmark (Reservoir)
Gemikonagi Reservoir
- Water reservoir east of Lefke, constructed between 1989–1992
- Capacity approx. 4 million m³ – important for the region’s water supply
- Surrounded by citrus and fruit orchards; popular spot for birdwatchers
- Offers a peaceful natural setting, ideal for picnicking and walking
11 Archaeological Site
Ruins of the Ancient City of Soli
- Founded around the 7th century BC – one of Cyprus’ most important ancient cities
- Roman remains: amphitheater and large basilica with mosaic floor
- Fascinating floor mosaics in the basilica (well-preserved artworks)
- Restored amphitheater, now used for concerts and theater
12 Historic Harbor
Kırmızı Liman (Red Harbor)
- Historic pier extending into the sea, about 500 m long (named after the “red” basalt rock)
- Important former trade port for copper and chrome exports (until 1974)
- Panoramic views: popular sunset viewpoint
- Anchored in time: now a sightseeing spot for walkers (total length approx. 1 km)
13 Archaeological Site
Palace of Vouni
- Ruins of an ancient palace (presumably 5th century BC, Persian period)
- Impressive cliffside location with wide sea view
- Architectural remains: entrance gate, courtyards, cisterns
- Gives visitors an impression of the former wealth of Greek rulers
14 Natural Monument
Historic Vine of Yeşilırmak
- Legendary grapevine, hundreds of years old, located in Yeşilırmak (near Asmali Restaurant)
- Guinness Record: trunk circumference 85 cm, produces about 3 tons of grapes annually
- Still productive today and a tourist attraction, a testimony to traditional viticulture
- Shaded riverside site with picnic area
15 Archaeological Site (Neolithic)
Petra tou Limnidi
- Excavation site of a Neolithic settlement (around 5000 BC)
- Discovered and excavated by a Swedish archaeological team
- Finds: remains of stone buildings and pottery (one of the oldest sites in Cyprus)
- Illustrates early life in the fertile western region of Cyprus
