Asphalt works close section of İsmet İnönü Boulevard in Gazimağusa

A section of İsmet İnönü Boulevard in Gazimağusa has been closed to vehicle traffic as asphalt paving continues under the second phase of the municipality’s boulevard improvement project.

According to reports by Yenidüzen and Halkın Sesi citing Gazimağusa Municipality, the work is taking place on the stretch between Macro AVM and Kahve Dünyası. The municipality said the closure is intended to allow the paving work to be completed safely and promptly.

Gazimağusa Mayor Süleyman Uluçay visited the site and received an update from technical teams, the reports said.

Uluçay said the project was proceeding in line with its planned programme. He said the completed works were expected to provide a more orderly, safer and more comfortable transport environment in the area.

The mayor also thanked residents, businesses and motorists for their patience during the works.
