Brief light showers possible in parts of North Cyprus this weekend

The Meteorology Department expects brief, locally light showers in parts of North Cyprus this weekend, according to forecasts reported by Halkın Sesi and Yenidüzen.

Saturday is forecast to be partly cloudy, with showers possible in inland and eastern areas until midday before cloud cover decreases. Sunday is expected to begin mostly clear, becoming partly cloudy around midday, with a chance of brief light showers inland.

For the wider period of 19–25 September, the department forecasts generally partly cloudy or mostly clear conditions under cool and humid air masses.

Daytime highs are forecast at 33–36°C inland, 29–32°C on the coast and 28–31°C in mountainous areas. Overnight lows are expected to range from 18–21°C inland and in the mountains, and from 22–25°C along the coast.

Winds are forecast to blow mainly from the south and west at moderate strength, occasionally becoming strong.
