Dentistry student receives new Berna Ahmetraşit scholarship

The Tangül Ünal Çağıner Children’s Aid Foundation has established an annual scholarship for a successful dentistry student in memory of late dentist Berna Ahmetraşit, Yeniduzen reported.

Sude Göktürk was named the first recipient of the Dr. Berna Ahmetraşit Dentistry Scholarship, according to Vacide Gören, chair of the foundation’s executive board.

A scholarship meeting was attended by foundation representatives, founder and trustee chair İçim Çağıner Kavuklu, Gören, Ahmetraşit’s daughter Zeynep Ahmetraşit, and Göktürk and her family.

The foundation said the scholarship aims to support the education of young dentists while carrying forward Ahmetraşit’s commitment to her profession, learning, discipline and service to people.
