Dipkarpaz depot begins supplying barley to local producers

A depot belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources has opened in Dipkarpaz, with barley supplies for producers in the area now available locally, according to reports by Halkın Sesi and Yenidüzen.

The Erenköy-Karpaz Municipality said producers can obtain their barley requirements directly from the depot.

The municipality said the arrangement followed an accident at the silo in Kumyalı, which it said had created difficulties for residents and producers who needed to travel to Nicosia or Famagusta.

It also said its excavator is serving local residents and that no fee is being charged for weighing services.
