Abstract submissions for the 8th International Communication and Media Studies Conference at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) can now be made until 11 October, according to Yeniduzen.
The conference, themed Trust and Truth in the Age of AI, is scheduled for 12-14 November at the Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz Hall in EMU’s Faculty of Communication in Famagusta.
Organised by the faculty’s Centre for Research and Communication for Peace, the event will consider how artificial intelligence is shaping the creation, distribution and use of information. Its stated areas of discussion include truth, trust, ethics, reliability and accountability.
The programme is expected to address AI’s implications for journalism, political and strategic communication, advertising, public relations, digital platforms, visual culture, cinema and emerging forms of storytelling.
Yeniduzen reported that academics, researchers and postgraduate students may submit proposals in either Turkish or English. Prof. Dr. Thomas Hanitzsch and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Halilsoy are listed as invited speakers.
Prospective participants should note the extended 11 October deadline for abstract submissions.
