Ercan Airport handled 4.55 million passengers by end of September

Ercan Airport handled 4,551,794 passengers between 1 January and 30 September 2026, according to traffic figures released by T&T Airport Management and reported by Halkın Sesi.

The operator said the total was 8.42% higher than in the same nine-month period of 2025, when the airport recorded 4,198,145 passengers.

Arrivals accounted for 2,278,682 passengers, up 8.27% year on year, while departures rose 8.58% to 2,273,112. The difference between arriving and departing passenger totals was 5,570.

Aircraft movements also increased. The airport recorded 29,693 arrivals and departures over the nine months, an annual rise of 8.64%, T&T Airport Management said. This included 14,847 arriving aircraft and 14,846 departing aircraft.

August was the busiest month in the reported period for both passenger and aircraft traffic, with 600,289 passengers and 3,668 aircraft operations, according to the operator.
