A runway-edge lighting issue at Ercan Airport has been resolved and flight operations are continuing as scheduled, according to Civil Aviation Department Director Hayran Bolkan.
Bolkan told the Turkish Cypriot News Agency (TAK) that the required arrangements on the runway had been completed following consultations with Türkiye’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation. He said there would be no disruption to flights.
Yeniduzen, citing a NOTAM it obtained, reported that the issue began at about 12:30 and concerned lighting along the edge of the airport’s runway.
The update indicates that scheduled services at Ercan can continue following the completion of the work. Passengers should still check directly with their airline for the latest information on individual flights.
