Esentepe club outlines plans for land and indoor sports hall

Esentepe Kurtuluş Spor ve Kültür Kulübü has announced two protocols concerning land use and the transfer of the Dr. Turan Erdoğan Indoor Sports Hall, which it says will support local sports infrastructure.

According to the club, the first protocol transferred use of an area extending from below Cesar Kafe Paris through the Harup Ambarları area to below Civil Defence and Alkan Holiday.

The club said the land available for its use now covers about 80 dönüms, including a 14-dönüm plot transferred previously. It said it intends to develop the area through long-term, sustainable projects that could support Esentepe’s social and economic life, create opportunities for young people and provide sustainable income for the club.

Under the second protocol, the Dr. Turan Erdoğan Indoor Sports Hall was transferred to the club, it said. The club stated that the venue would be available not only for its own activities but also for local indoor-sports clubs, schools, teachers and children.

It said it plans to maintain and improve the hall while supporting the development of indoor sports in the Esentepe area.
