Famagusta cycling and walking event set for 18 September

The EU Information Centre will hold a cycling and walking event in Famagusta’s walled city on Friday, 18 September, as part of European Mobility Week 2026, Halkın Sesi reported.

Known as Yavaş Yavaş Mağusa, the event is scheduled to run from 5pm to 7pm at Namık Kemal Square. It is being organised under the European Mobility Week theme, Mobility for Everyone.

The programme will invite participants to explore the city at a slower pace, on foot or by bicycle. The EU Information Centre encouraged people to attend, slow down, explore, connect with one another and experience the city together.

People joining the cycling part of the tour have been asked to bring their own bicycles.
