A Famagusta resident has raised concerns about concrete bollards installed on pavements outside a detached house and a business on a main road, Halkın Sesi reported.
The resident said the bollards may create a risk for people walking after dark, who could trip or fall if they do not see the obstacles. They also argued that pedestrians already face difficulties using pavements and said further occupation of walking space was inappropriate.
The resident questioned whether private individuals or businesses are permitted to place such bollards on public pavements, and which authority would be responsible for granting approval.
No response from a relevant authority was included in the report. The concerns remain claims raised by the resident.
