Residents in Famagusta have called for action over the repeated dumping of household rubble on vacant land beside and in front of homes.
Halkın Sesi, citing residents quoted by Ayaklı Gazete, reported that municipal teams had cleaned the affected areas several times, but waste later reappeared.
The residents urged the municipality to identify and penalise those responsible for leaving rubble in the area without control. They said the situation was particularly damaging for Famagusta, which they described as a tourism city, and called on authorities to intervene.
