Girne to hold two ceremonies marking Ziya Rızkı’s death anniversary
Two ceremonies will be held in Girne on 21 October to commemorate former parliamentarian and mayor Ziya Rızkı.

Two ceremonies are scheduled in Girne on 21 October to mark the 32nd anniversary of the death of Ziya Rızkı, according to a report by Yeniduzen.
Rızkı is described in the report as a former parliamentarian and mayor, as well as a mücahit commander, serdar and sports figure. The newspaper said he made important contributions to the Turkish Cypriot community’s struggle for existence.
The first ceremony is due to begin at 09:30 in front of Rızkı’s bust at Ziya Rızkı Square.
A second ceremony is scheduled for 10:15 at his grave in Karaoğlanoğlu Cemetery.
