Three students associated with Gönyeli Primary School’s winning team at the Cyprus RoboFest Drone Cup are set to travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina for an international drone competition, Yeniduzen reported.
Ayaz Tutak and Deniz Çolakoğlu, who were part of the previous Drone Cup-winning team, will compete alongside Eftal Soykurt at the Enjoy AI 2026 European Open in Travnik. The event is scheduled to run from 9 to 12 October, with the competition taking place on 10 October.
Yeniduzen reported that the students will represent Cyprus at the event, which is expected to bring together participants from several countries.
Teachers Çizem Baş Onat and Merve Denizalp will accompany the students. Mert Balın is coordinating the delegation’s participation on behalf of Cyprus RoboFest, according to the report.
The Cyprus RoboFest Organising Committee said the championship would give the students an opportunity to work as a team and measure their technology and engineering skills against international standards. Cultural activities and friendship meetings are also planned alongside the competition.
