Güzelyurt officials review student transport and road safety

Güzelyurt Mayor Mahmut Özçınar met with police, university and dormitory representatives on 16 October to discuss university students’ access to campus and traffic safety, according to a report by Halkın Sesi citing the Güzelyurt Municipality.

The meeting included representatives of the Güzelyurt Police Directorate, METU Northern Cyprus Campus Administrative Affairs Manager Osman Bilgeç and 2. Selim Dormitory Manager Nevzat Ergün, the municipality said.

Participants reviewed students’ transportation conditions, road safety and possible traffic risks around school arrival and departure times. The evidence package does not specify any measures agreed at the meeting or announce changes to transport arrangements.
