Hasan Taçoy takes over Economy and Energy Ministry

Hasan Taçoy has taken over as North Cyprus Minister of Economy and Energy from Olgun Amcaoğlu, according to the ministry press office in a report by Halkın Sesi.

Speaking after the handover, Taçoy said political office carried a responsibility to honour the parliamentary mandate given by the public. He said every public role had value when it was used to serve people.

Taçoy said his immediate aim was to continue the ministry’s work and seek improvements in living standards, which he said should reach the level North Cyprus deserves.

He thanked Amcaoğlu for his service, describing the transition between ministers as a relay in which work is carried forward by the next office-holder.

Taçoy also referred to his previous ministerial and public duties, saying he would work to meet the public confidence placed in him through his parliamentary mandate.
