The Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry is continuing efforts to establish a special industrial zone in North Cyprus, its president, Kamacıoğlu, said, according to a report by Halkın Sesi.
Kamacıoğlu said the proposed zone would provide industrialists with planned, infrastructure-ready areas suitable for investment and production. He said the initiative was intended to support industrial development, increase production capacity and encourage new investment and employment.
According to the report, Kamacıoğlu said the project’s legal and administrative processes would continue to be assessed with the relevant institutions. The chamber is also ready to work with public institutions on a model designed to address the needs of its members and support industrial growth, he said.
Kamacıoğlu called on the government and relevant ministries to treat industrialists’ demand for the zone as a priority and to support progress through concrete steps.
