İskele half marathon to bring road closures and diversions
Police have announced temporary closures and route changes in İskele from 06:30 to 12:00 during a municipality-organised half marathon.

Drivers in and around İskele should expect temporary road closures and diversions from 06:30 to 12:00 while a half marathon organised by İskele Municipality takes place, police have announced.
Traffic travelling from the Karpaz direction towards Gazimağusa on the Gazimağusa-Karpaz main road will be diverted at Bahçeler Traffic Lights Junction. Police said vehicles will be directed via İskele’s second exit and the village roads through Sınırüstü, Aygün and Ötüken.
Drivers travelling from Ercan towards İskele on the Ercan-Iskele main road will be directed at İskele’s second entrance via Bahçeler Traffic Lights Junction.
Vehicles travelling from the Granel and Ünimar roundabouts towards the Gazimağusa-Karpaz main road will also be routed through İskele’s second entrance and exit via the Bahçeler junction.
Police further said the dual carriageway between Ötüken Roundabout and Salamis Hotel Roundabout will operate as a single lane in both directions during the event.
Drivers using the affected routes were urged to proceed slowly and carefully, and to follow traffic signs, road markers, traffic personnel and police instructions.
