A section of the Kantara road between the Youth Camp and a military unit in İskele was reopened to vehicle traffic after a rockfall caused part of the route to collapse, according to reports by Halkın Sesi and Yenidüzen.

Halkın Sesi reported that the Police Press Officer’s Office said the relevant institutions had begun procedures to repair the damaged section. İskele Municipality teams then carried out improvement work at the site after treating the media report as a notification, the report said.

Yenidüzen also reported a police warning about the collapse and the repair work. Police urged drivers using the route to proceed slowly and carefully, and to follow traffic signs and the instructions of traffic controllers.

The affected section is on the Kantara road between the Youth Camp and the nearby military unit.
