The Cyprus Turkish Education Foundation (KTEV) has announced education support for 219 students during the 2026–2027 academic year, according to a report by Halkın Sesi based on information from the foundation.
The announced package includes scholarships for 16 students through an education-package programme, 47 middle-school students, 142 high-school students and 12 university students. Two further students are listed for education support.
KTEV also said 33 students would receive Şevki Barutçu Education Support, sponsored by Cypri Cola–Evsu.
The foundation said a protocol signed with the Şampiyon Melekleri Yaşatma Derneği on 11 September 2026 would provide support scholarships to 105 students for the 2026–2027 academic year. Those students will be included in a collective list to be announced by KTEV, the foundation said.
According to KTEV, the financial assistance will be paid over nine months and structured as three scholarships for each person who died in the 6 February 2023 Kahramanmaraş-centred earthquake in Adıyaman.
