Karşıyaka opened their 2026-27 AKSA Süper Lig campaign with a 2-0 victory over Yenicami at Atatürk Stadı, according to Halkın Sesi.
Wesley Nurettin McDonald scored both goals in the first-week fixture. He put Karşıyaka ahead in the 27th minute with an effort from outside the penalty area.
Yenicami were reduced to 10 players in the 78th minute when Mehmetali İlkbahar was sent off following an off-the-ball incident during a corner, Halkın Sesi reported.
McDonald sealed the result in the 89th minute after winning possession from the Yenicami defence and finishing from the left side of the penalty area.
The result gives Karşıyaka three points at the start of the season. They are due to host Baf Ülkü Yurdu next week, while Yenicami will travel to Mesarya.
