North Cyprus national boxer Metin Turunç has said that his planned WCB title fight, initially expected in September, has been postponed to November.

Halkın Sesi reported that Turunç is due to face a foreign boxer, whose identity will be determined through a draw and announced afterwards.

The exact date of the bout is also expected to be settled during November once the draw has taken place, according to Turunç.

Turunç said the delay would give him additional time to prepare for the title contest. He said his aim was to bring an important international title to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
