Municipality convenes producers and officials for agriculture information session

Mehmetçik-Büyükkonuk Municipality organised an information meeting on livestock farming and beekeeping at Bafra Plaj Tesisleri, according to Halkın Sesi.

The municipality said the gathering was intended to support small-ruminant breeders and beekeepers while helping to protect the region’s productive capacity.

Small-ruminant breeders, beekeepers, representatives of relevant institutions and experts attended the meeting. Those present included Agriculture and Natural Resources Ministry Undersecretary Ercan Akerzurumlu, Veterinary Department Director Tunç Beyit, Livestock Department Director Gönen Vurana, Beekeepers’ Union President Serhan Kara and Beekeeping Cooperative President Hasan Kozok.

Mayor Fatma Çimen Tuğlu said supporting production and producers was an important part of the municipality’s approach to local government, alongside routine municipal services.
