Municipality details upgrades at Bafra Public Beach

Mehmetçik-Büyükkonuk Municipality has outlined improvements carried out at Bafra Public Beach, including renovation work, upgraded utilities and landscaping.

According to the municipality’s statement reported by Halkın Sesi on 21 October 2026, renovation and renewal work was carried out in 2023 at the beach restaurant and coastal facilities. The municipality said the facilities had previously remained closed for a long period.

The municipality also said the beach’s electricity and water systems were improved. Other work included lighting, parking, environmental cleaning and landscaping.

The municipality said investments at the beach had been made under the leadership of Mayor Fatma Çimen Tuğlu.

In its account, the municipality described Bafra Public Beach as a community asset and said local residents had defended its public character over many years. It also said making the beach available to local residents was one of the mayor’s priorities.
