Halkın Sesi reported that Near East University’s Faculty of Fine Arts and Design has opened its first exhibition of the new academic year, titled Aytışma, at the GÜNSEL Art Museum.

According to the report, the exhibition brings together 50 works by 19 artist-academics prepared for the Cyprus Modern Art Museum. The display includes painting, sculpture, ceramics and printmaking, presenting different techniques and individual forms of expression.

Halkın Sesi also reported that the opening was attended by YÖDAK member Prof. Dr. Remziye Terkan. Speeches were delivered by Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Dean Prof. Erdal Aygenç, and AI-based academician Ai. Prof. Dux.

Şanlıdağ said the university would continue strengthening an environment in which students produce freely, academics pursue their work and the institution shares its accumulated knowledge with society. He also said Aytışma marked the 486th exhibition held under the Cyprus Modern Art Museum.

Aygenç described the exhibition as a visual and intellectual dialogue between artistic disciplines, centred on the theme of love.

Aytışma is open to visitors at the GÜNSEL Art Museum.
