New directors appointed at Transport Ministry and Highways Department
Selcan Erkan and Hakan Bozkaya have been appointed to senior transport administration posts, with Kazım Kafaoğlu dismissed as Highways Department director.

Selcan Erkan has been appointed director of North Cyprus’s Ministry of Public Works and Transport, while Hakan Bozkaya has taken up the post of director of the Highways Department.
The appointments were set out in Official Gazette decrees reported by Halkın Sesi. The same decisions dismissed Kazım Kafaoğlu from his role as Highways Department director. Kafaoğlu had been appointed to the position on 1 May 2024.
Ahmet Hamdi was also appointed as a member of the Prime Ministry Inspection Board, according to the report.
The appointment and dismissal decisions took effect on 18 September.
