North Cyprus is expected to see occasional showers and stronger winds over the weekend, according to the Meteorology Department forecast reported by Halkın Sesi and Yenidüzen.
The department expects the region to be affected by low pressure and an associated frontal system at the start of the 17–23 October forecast period. Showers are forecast in some areas on that first day, while winds may become strong at times as the weekend approaches.
Weather is expected to remain generally cloudy during the week. The forecast says warm and humid air masses will affect the region during the remaining days of the period.
Maximum temperatures are expected to range from 25°C to 28°C inland and from 24°C to 27°C along the coast.
Winds are forecast to come mainly from southerly directions during the first half of the period, before shifting to northerly directions during the second half. The department also expects winds to strengthen occasionally toward the weekend.
