Perçinci Football Academy’s U11 team has collected seven points from its first three group matches at an international youth football tournament in Ilinden Municipality, near Skopje in North Macedonia, according to Halkın Sesi.

The academy is competing on behalf of North Cyprus at the fourth edition of the tournament. In Group A, Perçinci opened with a 4-0 victory over Sport Efe before beating Belesica 3-1. Its third match ended in a 1-1 draw against Grozdanoski Crveni.

Those results left the side with eight goals scored and two conceded after three games. Halkın Sesi reported that the team remained in contention for top spot in the group.

Two group fixtures were still to be played. The report said Perçinci needed to win both to secure a place in Sunday’s quarter-finals.
