Rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected across Cyprus over the coming days as temperatures gradually decline, the Cyprus Meteorological Department said, according to a report by the Cyprus Mail.
On Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms are forecast mainly across the northern half of the island, inland areas and the east. The department said hail is possible during thunderstorms.
Conditions are expected to remain mainly cloudy on Wednesday and Thursday, with localised rain and further isolated thunderstorms possible. Dust is also forecast to be present in the atmosphere at intervals.
Tuesday temperatures are expected to reach about 24C in the west and north, and around 27C inland and along the southern and eastern coasts. Overnight temperatures are forecast to fall to approximately 15C inland, 16C on the coasts and 7C in the higher mountains.
The department expects temperatures to continue falling and to move below seasonal averages.
