Saçaklı Ev to host exhibition celebrating 41 women’s stories

According to Yeniduzen, an exhibition linked to Kıbrıs Kadın Öyküleri Derneği’s (KÖDER) latest book, Hayatımıza Değer Katan Kadınlarımız – 41 Kadın-41 Hayat, is due to open at Saçaklı Ev at 5pm on 12 October.

The event, organised by KÖDER in collaboration with Garanti BBVA, will introduce the sixth volume in the association’s series documenting women’s life stories.

The exhibition will include personal belongings and photographs connected to the 41 women featured in the new book. Organisers say the project is intended to preserve their stories and offer inspiration to younger generations.

The programme will also include a cocktail featuring Cypriot cuisine, while copies of the latest book will be available for purchase.

KÖDER president Şenay Ekingen said the association has produced 33 documentaries to date, 31 of which have been presented to the public. She also said KÖDER had previously prepared five books and five exhibitions.
