Senior public-service appointments take effect in North Cyprus

Appointment and dismissal decrees concerning senior public-service posts have taken effect in North Cyprus, according to Halkın Sesi. The newspaper reported that the decisions were published in the Official Gazette under the Senior Executive Officials Law.

Mehmet Öztürk was appointed Director of Local Governments at the Ministry of Interior.

At the Ministry of Economy and Energy, Mehmet Çavuşoğlu was dismissed as Director of the Private Office. Osman Asilkan was appointed in his place, Halkın Sesi reported.

Nadir Gürpınar was also appointed Director of the Free Port and Zone.

According to the newspaper, the decrees took effect the day before they were published in the Official Gazette.
