Three startup teams have been selected as the winners of the Startups4Peace 2026 business idea presentation competition, Yeniduzen reported.
The winning teams will share €20,000 in seed funding and receive sponsored travel to Web Summit Lisbon 2026. The first-place team will receive €10,000, while the second- and third-place teams will each receive €5,000.
The first-place proposal uses daily cycling data to produce standards-based safety assessments for urban cycling networks. The second-place idea is a programmable plug-and-play electronic device designed to teach coding to children aged eight to 14 through short lessons.
The third-place proposal focuses on an automated parking payment and barrier system intended to reduce revenue losses for parking operators.
Startups4Peace is funded by the European Union through the EU Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community and implemented by GIZ International Services. The programme brings Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot entrepreneurs together to support business creation and cooperation.
According to information attributed to eunite in the report, graduates of the programme will also receive direct access to the eunite Angel Investor Network and its Access to Finance process. The support is intended to help participating startups seek additional investment after the competition.
