Turkish citizens living in North Cyprus will be able to receive physical therapy and rehabilitation services at Romatem Move Cyprus in Yeniboğaziçi under coverage from Türkiye’s Social Security Institution (SGK), according to a report by Halkın Sesi.

The SGK arrangement and details of how it will be implemented were presented at a press conference held for the rehabilitation centre, the report said.

Romatem Move Cyprus offers inpatient rehabilitation and advanced treatment infrastructure, including robotic rehabilitation technology, according to the presentation. Its services include neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation, multidisciplinary care and personalised treatment programmes.

Ahmet Savaşan, president of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council and secretary-general of the National Unity Party (UBP), said the centre would provide services to Turkish citizens living in North Cyprus within the scope of SGK coverage.

Romatem board chairman Dr Köksal Holoğlu said the facility was intended to serve patients from North Cyprus, Türkiye and other countries. He described the investment as significant for health and medical tourism.

The announcement places the Yeniboğaziçi centre among the health services being presented to patients covered through Türkiye’s social security system, while also highlighting its rehabilitation and health-tourism focus.
