Türkiye’s Vice President Yılmaz due in North Cyprus for hospital openings

Türkiye’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz is scheduled to make a one-day visit to North Cyprus on Friday, including a joint press statement with Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and a ceremony for the opening of state hospitals in Girne and Güzelyurt.

Yenidüzen and Halkın Sesi reported that Yılmaz and Üstel are expected to deliver the joint statement at Ercan Airport at 2.30pm.

The programme is due to continue at 4pm at the new Girne State Hospital, where Yılmaz is scheduled to attend an opening ceremony for the Girne State Hospital and Güzelyurt State Hospital.

According to the two outlets, the Güzelyurt hospital’s opening is planned to take place online during the event in Girne.

The reported schedule concerns a single-day visit by Yılmaz, Türkiye’s vice president. No further programme details were included in the reports.
