Underpass works alter traffic on İskele–Karpaz road

Underpass construction has begun on the İskele–Karpaz main road between the Granel Roundabout and The Arkın Hotel Roundabout, according to a report by Halkın Sesi citing the North Cyprus Police Press Office.

The Karpaz-to-İskele direction has been closed because of the work. During the construction, traffic will operate in both directions on the two-lane carriageway used for travel from İskele towards Karpaz, the police office said.

Drivers using the route have been asked to reduce their speed and proceed carefully. They were also told to follow traffic signs, traffic marshals and any directions provided along the road.

The changes apply to the section between the Granel and The Arkın Hotel roundabouts. Drivers travelling between İskele and Karpaz should allow for the temporary arrangement and take extra care while passing through the work area.
