Urgent call for 0 Rh-positive blood donation at Lefkoşa hospital

Yeniduzen reported an urgent appeal for 0 Rh-positive blood for Faika Kavasoğulları (Arsal), who is at Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Hospital.

According to the report, a relative said the need for blood had arisen again and asked members of the public to donate. The appeal concerns Kavasoğulları, who is identified by her family name in the call for support.

Potential donors can apply in Faika Kavasoğulları (Arsal)’s name at the hospital’s Thalassaemia Centre. The report said applications can be made every day between 08:30 and 20:00.

The appeal reported by Yeniduzen states that potential donors should be aged between 18 and 65. It also says they should not have undergone surgery or had a tattoo in the past year, and should not have an active infectious illness.

Kavasoğulları’s family also asked eligible donors to help the appeal reach more people by sharing it widely. The request was circulated through a social-media post by a relative, according to the report.
