Vegetable growers offered seedling support for 2025-26 season

North Cyprus’s Agriculture Ministry will provide eligible vegetable producers with support of TL 5 per seedling for the 2025-26 production season, Halkın Sesi reported, citing the ministry.

The payment will be capped at TL 13,500 per dönüm, a local land-measurement unit.

To qualify, producers must have declared open-field or greenhouse vegetable production to the General Agricultural Insurance Fund between 16 and 27 February. They must also notify their nearest district agriculture office by 16 October if they wish to receive the support.

Applications are to be made during working hours. The ministry said applicants will not be required to provide a producer certificate.
